Benjamin Cole Snyder
Horseheads, NY
Age 28, passed away suddenly Friday evening, February 21, 2020. Ben was born on December 26, 1991 in Florida to Brian and Angela Osborne Snyder. He was a graduate of Horseheads High School class of 2010 and was an active member of the NY Army National Guard continuing a long line of military service in the family. Ben was employed as a welder with Nucor Vulcraft in Chemung and was a member and flag bearer at Veteran Grange #1108. Benjamin was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Raymond Snyder, both maternal grandparents, Frederick Osborne Jr. and Carol Osborne and step-father, Joseph Knapp Sr. He is survived by his parents; Brian Snyder (Rick Smith); Angela (Bryan) Wyant; brother, Brandon (Tiffany) Snyder with their daughters, Jazmine, Madalyn and Evelyn; sister, Alyssa (Nathan) Howell; step siblings, Logan Wyant, Joseph Knapp Jr., and Taylor Knapp; grandmother, Charlene (Ken) Stanton; step-grand parents, Bob and Doris Smith; as well as many extended family members, a host of friends and his loving four legged companion Bow. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan’s Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St., Horseheads, NY on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 5 PM-8 PM. His Funeral Services will be held at Dundee United Methodist Church, 35 Water St, Dundee, NY 14837 on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2PM. In lieu for flowers those wishing to remember Ben please consider a random act of kindness, leaving the world better than you found it.
