Cheryl M. Unger
Of Horseheads, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the age of 72. She was born February 9, 1946 in Scranton, PA, a daughter of the late, William Henry and Dorothy Davis Moore. She is also predeceased by her brother, William H. Moore. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Allan Unger; daughters, Kristen (Dennis) Collins, Allison (Andy) Roblyer, and Janell (Michael) Larson; grandchildren, Stephen, Daniel, Lindsay, Kate, Paige, Alex, Olivia, Jude and Henry; great granddaughter, Emma; nephew, William R. Moore; cousins, Judith L. (Stephen) Goodenough and their children, Aimee Goodenough Chianelli and Heather Goodenough. Cheryl graduated from West Scranton High School in 1963 and Corning Community College with an Associates Degree in Nursing. She was a dedicated member of the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration (NADONA), and acted as Treasurer and President for NYS Chapter. Cheryl retired from Bethany Manor where she was a Director of Nursing for over 15 years. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan’s Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 4PM-6PM. Her Funeral Services will be held immediately following with Pastor Mark Waters. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

It saddens me greatly to hear of Cheryl's passing. I just saw her and had a nice visit with her at our high school reunion last September. I am so glad I decided to attend. She will be in my thoughts and prayers, as will all of you as you try to find some comfort.
