Aunt Donna, Chip, Diane, Rags, Cinda and Tyler - I am so sorry Darla is no longer with you here on earth. I have so many fond memories of our days in Sioux City and hold them dear. May you all find peace and comfort in knowing your time apart is temporary and one day you will be reunited with Darla. I have loved reading her comments in facebook the last few months, she was a very good writer and have gone back to re-read a number of them. She clearly was a passionate and loving person. Many prayers for you all and know that even though miles apart you are all in my heart and my thoughts as you mourn her death and celebrate her life.

Donna,, Rags, Cinda and Tyler,
I’m so very sorry for your loss. I pray that God surroundS you in comfort and love.
Darla was a dear friend and I’m so sorry she was taken to heaven too soon.
I have many great memories of Darla: Washington School, sleep overs, McCook Lake and weddings.
When Damon and Cinda were babies, they were both in St. Luke’s hospital with pneumonia during a big snow storm! Darla and I were snowed in there, too! What an adventure!
I thank God for Darla’s life, love and friendship!
Until we meet again, Darla, in Heaven For eternity with our Lord and Savior, May He hold you close to His heart. All my love,
Cyndi Fagerhaug Swenson, Chuck Swenson and family

I have the best memories of Darla making so many homemade Christmas ornaments each year that were attached to my children's Christmas presents we have kept everyone of them and both of my adult children can now decorate their own Christmas trees with all the homemade ornaments that Grandma Darla made for them.

It is believed that spirits use trees as a dwelling place when visiting on earth. This theory goes way back to the Old Testament.
