As a kid Timmy was my part of my “older cousins” group. When you’re little you’re watching the older kids like hawks. I was so lucky to know both Shaw boys but in the woods Timmy as the older bro was always patient with me..I was a suburbs kid. I just loved the Outdoors and he was at home in it and willing to share that freedom with my very conservative brother and I. I’m so thankful for those memories and that time . Thank you Timmy fir making a quiet little kid feel included . You made a difference to me. Love you.

I can still hear his voice in that certain calming tone he used. The memories we shared, although many, will never be enough. My best friend for 30 years. The type of friend that you know if you needed him he would drop everything to be there. I can't imagine not having him here. Yes, life well go on, but it will be a dimmer life not being able to enjoy his company ever again. He was not a perfect man, but he was the type of man that most men should strive to be...I know I do.
My condolences to his family. I am completely heartbroken, so I can only imagine the grief for you all. No mother should have to bury a son. No daughter should miss the opportunity to be walked down the aisle by her father. No son should lose the life lessons of a father and all the lifetime of experiences. My heart aches for you all and I pray that somehow God will touch your hearts and bring peace.
Attached is my last photo of Tim, taken on 8/28/20. This is how I will always remember him.

Tim and I ran cross country and track together. We lost touch after high school and had made contact a couple years ago. His Nickname was “Nermal” and I didn’t really know why. I have remembered his encouragement to me running in competition and used that encouragement throughout my career. May you Rest In Peace my friend!
