Albert Lee Butler Passed in peace on June 27, 2018. He was born in Elmira, NY on October 22, 1935 to Alpha A. and Loretta Butler (Price). Preceded in death by brothers Arthur, Leon, and Richard Butler, as well as sisters Clarabelle Hayden and Delphine Merrone. Albert's greatest joy and pride are his daughters Amy Butler and Kelly Butler along with his grandchildren Kayla Smith and Cori Smith. He is also survived by his sister Norma Curran (Al) and good family friend Beverly Sheffield, along with many nieces and nephews. He worked most of his life for A&P grocery retailer as produce manager and served as a union representative who was extremely dedicated to his fellow members. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran who serving honorably in Alaska. He said he had lived a good life and will be remembered by all who knew him as kind, loyal, generous, and loving. The family welcomes family and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home at 365 Franklin Street at Rt. 13 in Horseheads, NY on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 11 AM - 12 PM with the Funeral Service immediately following. Family and friends are also welcome to attend Albert's burial ceremony at 2 PM on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Maple Grove Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with full military honors.
