CHRISTY, Douglas Crawford "Chris Douglas" \nPassed away peacefully Monday evening, February 28, 2011 at the age of 71 from a long-term illness. Doug was born July 12, 1939 in Norwich, NY, a son of the late Robert and Marion Crawford Christy. He honorably served his country with the US Army intelligence as a Green Beret from 1962 to 1965. Doug was a man of many talents that included sales for the Penny Saver in Hammondsport, NY, radio personality, private investigator and many community organizations. His passion was fishing, his band "The Chris Douglas Band" and golfing. He was also an avid Brooklyn Dodger Fan and Cleveland Brown Fan. \nHe is survived by his daughter, Jeanette (Rick) Kuehner of Horseheads, NY; son, Jeff (Christine) Christy of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Amber, Shawn, Chris, Cole and Shayley; great granddaughter, Caitlyn; aunt, Judy Christy; surviving ex-wife's Carman Gebhardt and Sue Christy; sister, Carolyn Christy Boyden and cousins. \nThe family would like to welcome relatives and friends to Doug's Memorial Service on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11AM at Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY.
