After working in carpentry; he changed careers and went to work at Corning Community College in the custodial field. Jim left CCC to work doing his greatest passion as a beef rancher. Jim loved walking amongst his herd of cows. No matter the weather he would go out and tend to the cows; seeing they were well cared for. Jim was proud of being in charge of his last big bull he named Wilson; knowing he could order him around. It was a great day for him when he could grab his lunch pail and spend a day in the tractor making hay. Jim loved camping, horseback riding, and spending time with his dogs, Ragnar and Shane. The family will welcome relatives and friends to come together and celebrate his life at the Veteran Grange on 777 Ridge Rd in Horseheads, NY on September 22, 2019 from 1 P.M. Until 3 P.M.
