Timothy V. Williams\nOf Erin, NY passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the age of 58. Tim was born June 1, 1960 in Elmira, NY. He was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law Jack and Arlene Hanrahan and by his sister-in-law Anne Coles. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Mary Beth Williams; daughter, Stephanie (Nicholas) Difasi and their children, Blake, Jax, Axl, and Rafe; son, Matthew (Caitlin) Williams and their children, Hailee, Ryan, and Charley; mother, Joyce Williams; brother, Rick Williams; many extended family members, close friends and colleagues. Tim retired after 29 years of service from the Elmira Correctional Facility. He will be lovingly remembered for his laughter, sense of humor and his deep love for his family, especially his grandchildren. Being the best "papa" was his life. He will forever live on in the memories of his beloved grandchildren and the significant impact he made on them. Family and friends are welcome to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Peter and Paul's Church, Elmira, NY on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10AM with Rev. Scott Kubinski. He will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following.
